BLACKCAUSEWAY<\/strong> has run poorly in both his chase starts so far but he did show up well on his sole previous visit here over hurdles when third. He is extremely well-handicapped off 99 if able to step forward from his two starts in November. JACK DOYEN <\/strong>has placed the last two times and could be a big player from a 4Ib lower mark than last time.<\/p>\n

BLADE RUNNER<\/strong> has won three of his four starts over fences and was second in the other race in what was a tactically-run contest. He is on the same mark back over hurdles as when winning last time over fences, so connections seem keen to exploit his mark. In what is an uninspiring race, the top-weight has an excellent chance to make it four wins from his last five.<\/p>\n

The best race on the card and course-and-distance winner SAINT SEGAL<\/strong> could prove hard to beat. He won his first two starts over fences and came close to remaining unbeaten at Doncaster last time. He is strongly considered with improvement on the cards and the potential to rank higher, while RED ROOKIE<\/strong> should be fitter from a good third last time and shouldn\u2019t be far away in this either.<\/p>\n

MAYHEM MYA<\/strong> gained her second win over timber when winning a shade comfortably at Sandown and a 4Ib rise might not prevent her from going in again here. Her main danger might be MIDNIGHT GINGER<\/strong>, who won a better grade race two starts back and would have sound claims if back to that form here from only a 2Ib higher mark.<\/p>\n

BALLOTIN <\/strong>was a 143-rated chaser in his prime and while he has raced sparingly in recent years, he has the back-class to really serve it up to a few of these. FIRAK<\/strong> has been in good form in points and ploughed through deep ground to win at Chepstow just over two years ago. This isn\u2019t a strong race, so he could play a leading role.<\/p>\n
