13.30 – JCB Triumph Hurdle<\/strong><\/p>\n

BLOOD<\/strong> DESTINY<\/strong> has won both his starts in Ireland impressively and while Paul Townend seemingly prefers Lossiemouth, his deflection doesn\u2019t diminish my interest and he has excellent claims. ZENTA<\/strong> overcame two bad mistakes to win smoothly on her stable debut last time and isn\u2019t to be underestimated, while GALA<\/strong> MARCEAU<\/strong> lowered the colours of Lossiemouth last time and should go well.<\/p>\n

14.10 – McCoy Contractors County Handicap Hurdle<\/strong><\/p>\n

PIED<\/strong> PIPER<\/strong> has a big weight to carry but he is a Grade 1 winner and ran a belter when third in last season’s Triumph Hurdle. With course form reading 131, he should go well with Davy Russell maintaining the partnership. WONDERWALL<\/strong> ran well in the Champion Bumper here two seasons ago and is on a nice mark off a nice weight in this race. An interesting outsider indeed, while WINTER<\/strong> FOG<\/strong> and SHARJAH<\/strong> complete the quartet of options.<\/p>\n

14.50 – Albert Bartlett Novices’ Hurdle<\/strong><\/p>\n

CORBETTS<\/strong> CROSS<\/strong> has won his last three hurdle starts over various distances and will have no problem going back over this longer trip. He comes out best on ratings and is open to further improvement. He has strong claims, while DAWN<\/strong> RISING<\/strong> has left the impression he would be suited to extra emphasis on stamina and isn\u2019t out of this at huge odds.<\/p>\n

15.30 – Boodles Cheltenham Gold Cup Chase<\/strong><\/p>\n

STATTLER<\/strong> will be well suited to the Gold Cup distance and his jumping will stand him in good stead. He won the National Hunt Chase last year under Patrick Mullins and is great material to make the frame. BRAVEMANSGAME<\/strong> impressed in winning the King George last time and has been saved for this since. Paul Nicholls has a great record in the Gold Cup and after a winner yesterday, the champion trainer will fancy his chances of bringing the prize home to Ditcheat.<\/p>\n

16.10 – St. James’s Place Festival Challenge Cup Open Hunters’ Chase<\/strong><\/p>\n

CHRIS\u2019S DREAM<\/strong> has a bundle of course form at the Festival and has run in the Gold Cup and Ryanair for the last two seasons. He must have every chance for his in-form handler. THE STORYTELLER<\/strong> is a former Grade 1 winner and was fifth in the Stayers\u2019 Hurdle two seasons ago. He has plenty of good Festival form too and is a big player with Jamie Codd taking the ride.<\/p>\n

16.50 – Mrs Paddy Power Mares’ Chase\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

IMPERVIOUS<\/strong> is a progressive chaser, who has won all three of her starts and her jumping is one of her biggest assets. Her form looks a lot stronger than what the favourite has achieved and she has the course form in her book courtesy of her sixth in the Mares\u2019 Novice last year. She should be a clear favourite.<\/p>\n
