FILE ILLICO<\/strong> has been pulled up in all three starts this season but he is better than that and has a chance to bounce back. CENOTICE<\/strong> also needs to leave behind a poor run last time but again, he has a chance back in calmer waters, while GREAT HEART\u2019JAC<\/strong> is likely to start favourite, as he\u2019s the only one in-form.<\/p>\n

The second race can go to AUDITORIA<\/strong>, who produced her best run in this sphere when second last time when fitted with the blinkers and sneaks into this race off the exact same mark. She must have every chance of going one place better in what is a pretty weak race.<\/p>\n

15.00 – Cottesmore Novices’ Handicap Chase\u00a0– 2m4f<\/strong><\/p>\n

HIWAY ONE O THREE<\/strong> won three on the bounce last spring and resumed winning ways a week ago, scoring by 14 lengths. He is under a seven-pound penalty but has a good chance. FLANN<\/strong> is a dual winner at the course though and should give another good account of himself.<\/p>\n

15.30 – Atherstone Handicap Chase – 2m6f<\/strong><\/p>\n

CLOUDY WEDNESDAY<\/strong> was off the mark earlier this month and backed that up with a very good second last time. This isn\u2019t a strong pace, so he could resume winning ways here. ROSTELLO<\/strong> has been running well below his best since scoring at Stratford but has been given a fair chance by the handicapper.<\/p>\n

16.00 – Pytchley Open Hunters’ Chase – 2m6f<\/strong><\/p>\n

COUSIN PASCAL<\/strong> is a smart horse on his day and won the Foxhunters\u2019 at Aintree in 2020 which is the best form on offer. He should go well in this grade, though ESPOIR DE TEILLEE<\/strong> has a good chance of being involved if he can rekindle his best form which would see him extremely competitive. He is capable.<\/p>\n

SANTON<\/strong> shaped well behind GETTING<\/strong> CLOSER<\/strong> last time at this course and while it\u2019s hard to separate both, I will add both into the ticket in the hope one of these can at least make the frame. The other two runners don\u2019t seem good enough to make an impact.<\/p>\n
