CROSSING THE BAR<\/strong> has yet to get going for this stable so far but was in the process of running really well at Doncaster last time before unseating and could be set to make amends. I fear BEAUFORT WEST<\/strong>, who\u2019s two pounds below his last winning mark and placed twice here last year off higher marks. He should be considered.<\/p>\n

14.00 – Ellis Wines 201 Year Stakes Handicap Chase – 2m<\/strong><\/p>\n

GREAT OCEAN<\/strong> won over hurdles last term and has shaped well in both chase starts despite being beaten a long way last time. He could bounce back in this race though in just his third start in this sphere, so he is worth another chance. DOM OF MARY <\/strong>could be well equipped for the task ahead with headgear fitted, while FAIRWAY FREDDY<\/strong> has a good record here and isn\u2019t out of this despite his big weight.<\/p>\n

14.30 – Strong Flavours Catering Maiden Hurdle – 1m7f<\/strong><\/p>\n

KLITSCHKO<\/strong> impressively landed his only bumper start last season and improved from his hurdles debut third to finish second at Newbury when last seen. This race has an easier look to it and, with the potential to rank higher, Alan King\u2019s charge is the one to beat. He should be more than capable of making the frame at the very least.<\/p>\n

15.00 – Tie The Knot Wedding Catering Novices’ Handicap Chase – 2m3f<\/strong><\/p>\n

GLOIRE D\u2019ATHON<\/strong> won his last three starts over fences and beat a subsequent winner in Fable when last spotted. He has more to come and has only been raised three pounds for that latest success, so the four-timer beckons. DREAMING BLUE<\/strong> has placed in two of his three chase starts and is a pound lower than when third at Chepstow last time. He is a leading contender.<\/p>\n

15.30 – Placesetting Equipment Hire Handicap Hurdle – 2m4f<\/strong><\/p>\n

LE PATRON<\/strong> showed decent form in France and ran a solid race when second on his stable debut last time over track and trip. He is three pounds higher in this race but he is open to plenty more improvement and could go one better. PRINCE IMPERIAL <\/strong>has made the frame in both hurdle starts and is feared most given his Flat ability.<\/p>\n

16.00 – IEP Financial Mares’ Handicap Hurdle – 1m7f<\/strong><\/p>\n

WELL VICKY <\/strong>only ran three days ago but if those excursions haven\u2019t taken a toll, she could up to completing her hat-trick having won her last two starts comfortably. EVENTFUL<\/strong> won this race last year and while she disappointed last time, the soft ground was to blame and she should go well in her bid to defend her crown.<\/p>\n
