I thought he shaped better than the result indicated in the Norfolk, where he would have finished closer with a clear run, and has a good chance with the step up in trip sure to suit. I wouldn\u2019t rule out REMARKABLE FORCE<\/strong>, who\u2019s also ran well the last twice despite plenty going wrong and while he is forced to carry a big weight, this is slightly easier than last time and Rossa Ryan maintains the partnership too.<\/p>\n

From a good draw, he has sound claims of going one better. BASS PLAYER<\/strong> was narrowly denied on handicap debut last time and with his form working out well, he\u2019s a huge danger, while TYRRHENIAN SEA<\/strong> shaped better than the result suggested in a Listed event on turf debut at Windsor and should be suited to this trip at this course. River Varian\u2019s charge is very interesting indeed in a race that should see him to best effect.<\/p>\n

ALPINISTA<\/strong> was second in this two years ago and has gone from strength-to-strength since, in which she\u2019s won her last six starts. Four of this wins have come at the highest level and her form is working out strongly. This is a deep field but she brings the best form to the table and is fancied to maintain her winning sequence. At a bigger price, POPTRONIC<\/strong> is interesting upped significantly in grade and she has the potential to make her presence felt in this company for trainer Karl Burke, who\u2019s had an excellent campaign with his team.<\/p>\n

TIME LOCK<\/strong> looked badly in need of the experience on debut but she absolutely hosed up at the second time of asking at Newmarket, winning by seven lengths, and lost little in defeat when attempting to give 6Ib to Mimikyu when the pair fought out the finish last time. I think the winner benefited from the soft ground that day and I\u2019m confident Roger Charlton\u2019s charge will reverse the form in this race on much better terms. William Buick, who was in the saddle last time, maintains the ride and, from a nice draw now back on decent ground with loads more to come, this filly is great value. I\u2019ll be gobsmacked if she\u2019s not rated better than 90, which significantly underplays her ability.<\/p>\n

Clive Cox\u2019 SCHOLARSHIP<\/strong> returned a very impressive winner on debut, showing a good turn of foot to beat a horse who\u2019s won twice since and wasn\u2019t disgraced when midfield in the Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot. He may have found that coming too quick after his debut but he\u2019s been given a break since and this is so much easier. With the potential to rank higher, he is worth an investment here.<\/p>\n
