Charlie Appleby\u2019s team continue in a rich vein of form and I really WARREN POINT<\/strong> in the opener, who\u2019s the choice of William Buick. He lost his unbeaten record in a three-runner event at Ascot three weeks ago but it seemed like connections were using that as stepping stone towards today\u2019s race. The fact that Buick has overlooked Natural World again in favour of this unexposed son of Dubawi is interesting and he\u2019s likely to get a good pace to aim at too. Drawn well in stall 6 with more to come, he\u2019s a huge player. ASGOODASSOBERGETS<\/strong> has made a promising start to this stable, with a win at Wolverhampton and outran his odds to finish a good second to Missed The Cut in the Golden Gate at the Royal meeting. He has more to offer from only a three pounds higher mark.<\/p>\n

ROYAL SCOTSMAN<\/strong> sets a good standard on the form of his third in the Coventry Stakes, where he finished a creditable third in which he split both Persian Force and Blackbeard. That form has worked out strongly with both of those winning since and given he already boasts C&D winning form, he\u2019s the one to beat. AL KARRAR<\/strong> is held in high regard and was mightily impressive when winning on debut at Windsor last month. His trainer Tom Clover is operating at an impressive 45% strike rate with this age bracket this term, so with much to come on just his second start, he\u2019s considered now stepped up in distance.<\/p>\n

15.00 – John Pearce Racing<\/a> Gordon Stakes (Group 3) – 1m3f<\/strong><\/p>\n

HOO YA MAL <\/strong>should be a clear favourite for this race in my opinion. He ran a cracker when second in the Derby last time when finishing upsides subsequent Irish Derby winner Westover and was bought by George Boughey for a huge sum afterwards. The tongue-tie is applied and Ryan Moore has been booked to ride, so there\u2019s lots to like about his chances and, a repeat showing of his latest career-best performance should be more than enough to see him heavily involved in the outcome. WEST WIND BLOWS<\/strong> is three from four and wasn\u2019t disgraced when ninth in the Derby on just his third career start. He resumed winning ways in good style last time at Hamilton and, with potential for better, he\u2019s a danger with James Doyle booked to ride.<\/p>\n

15.35 – Qatar Nassau Stakes (Fillies’ And Mares’ Group 1) (British Champions Series) – 1m1f<\/strong><\/p>\n

CONCERT HALL<\/strong> has been running consistently well in defeat the last four times in Grade\/Group 1 events and was unlucky not to go close in the Pretty Polly on her penultimate start, where she was badly impeded and dropped to the rear before coming through strongly to take a solid fifth. She ran well in the Belmont Oaks last time and was only a length behind Nashwa in the Oaks at Epsom. She\u2019s overpriced and, if the application of first-time cheekpieces bring about extra, she\u2019s got every chance of being competitive and at least reaching the frame again under Ryan Moore. VILLE DE GRACE <\/strong>wasn\u2019t seen to best effect last time when only fourth at York (turned out too quickly) but is closely matched with Lilac Road and Dreamloper and has been freshened up ahead of today\u2019s assignment. I think this course will play to her strengths and she cannot be discounted at nice odds.<\/p>\n

16.10 – Jaeger-Lecoultre Nursery – 7f<\/strong><\/p>\n

Richard Hannon has an excellent record in this race and I really like SEDUCTIVE POWER<\/strong>, who put his promising first two efforts to good use when opening his account at Newbury four weeks ago and will be suited to the longer trip here. His debut fifth has worked out strongly (first, second and third boosted form since) and he looks set to play a major role. Mark Johnston\u2019s TRUE STATESMAN <\/strong>is another to fear, who\u2019s won his last two races and his stable have a good record in this race too. With Ryan Moore in the saddle and more to come, he should make a bold effort in order to complete the hat-trick.<\/p>\n

16.45 – World Pool Handicap – 5f<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

This is wide-open but SWAYZE<\/strong> got back to winning ways last time following a good seventh in a competitive handicap at Royal Ascot from an unfavourable draw and is a threat. NAVELLO<\/strong> nearly upsides the former in that race at Royal Ascot and was unlucky not to finish closer at Chester last time. The form of his fifth at Newmarket his penultimate start has worked out ever so strongly and William Buick is booked to ride here. With a clear run, I can see George Boughey\u2019s capable sprinter going close to winning this race. He\u2019s handicapped to make a serious impact here. LE BEAU GARCON<\/strong> ran well behind Lethal Levi at Newmarket last time when seventh of 19 and had earlier won twice and finished second twice. He has sound claims off a lenient-looking mark.<\/p>\n
