13.10 – Irish Stallion Farms EBF Paddy Mullins Mares Handicap Hurdle (Grade B) – 2m2f<\/strong><\/p>\n

An ultra-competitive handicap hurdle to start day-two of the Dublin racing festival.<\/p>\n

The Joseph O\u2019Brien-trained GLOBAL EQUITY has useful form that would give her an each-way chance here. Her only blip came in a Grade-3 but her three starts this season have been brimming with confidence.<\/p>\n

She chased home the potential high-class Gauloise on seasonal debut and wasn\u2019t beaten far in a strong-looking listed event next-time-out. Her latest second wasn\u2019t a bad effort either and I think an opening handicap mark of 121 could prove exploitable.<\/p>\n

Willie Mullins deploys various participants in this event but RUAILLE BUAILLE wasn\u2019t far behind two horses rated 137 last time out and could get involved, while stable-companion LADY BREFFNI will love the heavy ground and has the ammunition to run a big race.<\/p>\n

13.40 – Tattersalls Ireland Spring Juvenile Hurdle (Grade 1) – 2m<\/strong><\/p>\n

Another top-class event that is armed with significant potential and a chance is taken on BUSSELTON who performed above market expectations to finish a three-length second to Triumph Hurdle favourite Zanahiyr in a grade-two on stable\/hurdles debut. He\u2019s sure to improve for that outing and looks great each-way value against the market leader.<\/p>\n

QUILIXIOUS is two from two for Gordon Elliott and has won both starts by a combination of 33 lengths. He\u2019s sure to attract plenty of attention and remains an exciting prospect going forward.<\/p>\n

14.10 – Chanelle Pharma Novice Hurdle (Grade 1) – 2m<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Supreme Novices\u2019 Hurdle market leader, APPRECIATE IT, undoubtedly sets the standard on the form available, having won the Paddy Power Future Champions Novice Hurdle last time out. He is likely to be a warm-favourite and the seven-year-old has every chance of extending his unbeaten record in this sphere.<\/p>\n

Having said that, KESKONRISK was the eye-catcher behind him last-time-out. That was his first foray at the highest level and he stayed on strongly to finish third having been given a tentative ride on the whole. The highly-regarded six-year-old will have learnt plenty that day and shouldn\u2019t be underestimated on just his fourth start under rules.<\/p>\n

14.40 – William Fry Handicap Hurdle (0-150) (Grade B) – 3m<\/strong><\/p>\n

It was hard not to be impressed with DAMALISQUE at Navan last month when slamming a good field by seven-lengths on heavy ground. It\u2019s notable to see Mark Walsh maintain the partnership rather than ride any of the other JP McManus intended runners, so the eight-year-old looks set to go close.<\/p>\n

The rapidly-improving UNEXPECTED DEATH ran with credit to finish a close-up third over C&D last time and has only gone up 3Ib as a result. I\u2019m inclined to think that his current mark isn\u2019t the ceiling of his ability and I\u2019m hopeful he\u2019ll be tough to beat.<\/p>\n

ARTICULUM has to be five an each-way chance on a much-reduced mark back over hurdles. He\u2019s performed admirably well over fences the last twice, placing second last time from a mark of 149 and makes plenty of appeal back over the smaller obstacles.<\/p>\n

15.10 – Flogas Novice Chase (Grade 1) – 2m5f<\/strong><\/p>\n

It\u2019s round three between MONKFISH and LATEST EXHIBITION with the firstly-named gaining a 2-0 lead over his great rival, having won a grade-one on only his second start in this sphere. Last year\u2019s Albert Bartlett winner has the world at his feet and is likely to start a short-priced favourite this weekend with LATEST EXHIBITION looking best of the rest.<\/p>\n

15.40 – Paddy Power Irish Gold Cup (Grade 1) – 3m<\/strong><\/p>\n

MINELLA INDO bids to get his season back on track following a soft (ish) fall in the Savills Chase over C&D when last in action. He remains unexposed and open to considerable improvement compared to his four rivals here and, with a clean round of jumping, Henry De Bromhead\u2019s eight-year-old can resume winning ways.<\/p>\n
