Beverley betting tips<\/strong><\/h3>\n

13.00 – Novice Stakes – 7f<\/strong><\/p>\n

This looks competitive on paper, but there is a strong chance II BANDITO has improved significantly from his debut seventh which evidently looked an above-average race. He looked badly in need of the experience that day, so he should go well with the improvement expected.<\/p>\n

Of the newcomers, NORTHERN EXPRESS is related to some high-profile sorts and could be ready for this first time out for the combination of Michael Dods and Paul Mulrennan.<\/p>\n

Ralph Beckett\u2019s STORM DREAMER could only finish down the field on debut, but the form of that race has already worked out well with plenty of subsequent winners since. He looked much improved when third at Catterick a few weeks ago and has been granted a good opportunity here to make even more of an impact.<\/p>\n

13.30 – Novice Stakes – 7f<\/strong><\/p>\n

As expected, Mark Johnston holds an exceptional strike-rate at this track and his two-year-old USS NIMITZ sets the standard on his debut fourth at Newmarket. He can put that experience to good use in what looks a week-enough event.<\/p>\n

Of the rest, BARNEY\u2019S BAY could go well on debut. He\u2019s beautifully-bred and Tim Easterby knows how to ready one first time out and the yard\u2019s number one rider David Allan takes the ride.<\/p>\n

14.00 – Novice Stakes – 7f<\/strong><\/p>\n

Not many of these make appeal, with the exception of a couple. ONE IDEA has shown fair form in both races to date and the drop back to seven-furlongs here should unlock further improvement. KING\u2019S KNIGHT improved plenty from his debut to finish runner-up back at Windsor last time out. He looks set to build on that and get off the mark at the third time of asking.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

14.30 – Handicap – 7f<\/strong><\/p>\n

SHAWAAMEKH is consistent having run more good races then bad on a regular basis. He won twice last year and has run with credit on his three of his four races this season. He was third at Chester off this mark on his latest start and is expected to be in the mix again.<\/p>\n

Richard Fahey\u2019s AMAYSMONT looked progressive as a two-year-old, winning and placing second once (formed worked out well), and he\u2019s run with credit in three handicaps this season. Having finished sixth twice off higher marks and coming midfield in the Britannia Stakes at Royal Ascot off a mark 86 from a bad draw, I can envisage him making a much bigger impact in this weaker-race off a 1lb lower mark.<\/p>\n

Archie Watson\u2019s team are in flying form of late, and the progressive HARRISON POINT could win again while still on an attractive mark and being lower in the handicap than when seen in the Britannia Stakes at Royal Ascot. He beat a subsequent winner one month ago, so a 2lb rise may not prevent him from winning again under the in-form Hollie Doyle.<\/p>\n

15.00 – Handicap – 5f<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is a competitive handicap and one which is set to be truly run. BIRKENHEAD is a proven C&D winner and arrives here in good form, for which he didn\u2019t get the smoothest of runs here two weeks ago but he wasn\u2019t beaten all that far. He might well have won otherwise, so with that being said, the small 2lb rise in the handicap might have underestimated his chances today.<\/p>\n

MUSHARRIF likes it around here being a three-time C&D winner. He was a good fourth here a few weeks ago from wide draw and his form figures over C&D read an impressive 11432612444. From an unchanged mark and an inside draw this time around, I think he\u2019s cracking each-way value to hit the frame at least.<\/p>\n

EAST STREET REVUE is back on his last winning mark, and has also proven himself at this track with a win over C&D last year off just 1lb lower. He\u2019s also finished second over track and trip in the past off a mark of 89, so he ought to be competitive today off 73, especially with his stable in top-form.<\/p>\n

15.30 – Beverley Bullet – 5f<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is a super tough handicap to round off today\u2019s preview, so it might pay to have a few runners on side.<\/p>\n

DAKOTA GOLD was ultra-consistent and progressive in 2019, and looked on the way back to form with a close-up seventh at Ripon just under two weeks ago off 107. He\u2019s back up in grade here, but his form on this sort of surface and at this level is strong, so he should go well.<\/p>\n

MAJOR JUMBO is another genuine and consistent sprinter who is enjoying a good season thus far, knocking on the door of late to suggest his turn might be near. He was second in a Listed event at Chester last time and with the hope that first-time blinkers have the desired effect, he can\u2019t be discounted.<\/p>\n

LAST EMPIRE is a useful filly who has been highly tried on her last four outings. She shaped nicely when seventh in a Group Three at York last time out, and with this race representing a drop down in class, she ought to make an impact.<\/p>\n

Finally, MAKANAH is steadily progressive and ran a huge race to be beaten only a neck under a big weight at Haydock recently. He thoroughly deserves a crack at this level, and is quite well drawn to show up well again.<\/p>\n
