Nicky Henderson deploys the highly-regarded and expensive purchase GALLYHILL who is sure to attract plenty of attention. He is bred to be smart, therefore, it would be hugely disappointing if the son of Getaway couldn\u2019t get involved at the first time of asking over timber.<\/p>\n

13.25 – MansionBet’s Watch And Bet Novices’ Limited Handicap Chase – 2m<\/strong><\/p>\n

A race that is armed with significant potential from a handicapping perspective and a chance is taken on Alan King\u2019s HARAMBE who has the scope and physique to take well to chasing. He won last year\u2019s Grade-Three Greatwood Hurdle at Cheltenham from only a 3Ib lower mark and looked set to go close in this year\u2019s renewal, only to fall at the final flight. Needless to say, if he can replicate that sort of form to this sphere, he\u2019d certainly be capable of winning this event with the strongest form in the book.<\/p>\n

BIRCHDALE was a very talented hurdler, though hasn\u2019t got going in this sphere. His jumping has lacked conviction over fences and the same applied to him last time. Even so, he remains with considerable potential over fences and is worth considering from his current mark.<\/p>\n

14.00 – British EBF Mares’ ‘National Hunt’ Novices’ Hurdle – 2m4f<\/strong><\/p>\n

Plenty of these to consider, including HAMILTON\u2019S FANTASY who looked a useful prospect when second in a hot bumper at Ascot in November. Her stable won this race twelve months ago and, with an assured round of jumping, the daughter of Mount Nelson looks set to be thereabouts.<\/p>\n

LADY IN HIDING showed distinct signs of promise when reaching the frame in all three bumpers back in 2019, including a third at listed level. She\u2019s been absent for 14-months. so her fitness has to be taken on trust, but she\u2019s undergone wind surgery since and should be capable of making her presence felt.<\/p>\n

PHILLAPA SUE is another to consider, who shaped encouragingly in four bumpers in Ireland with the form of her efforts in defeat working out particularly well. If translating that ability to hurdles, she should be up to making an impact.<\/p>\n

Of the others, Alan King\u2019s HEART OF A LION has had a wind operation since finishing second at Taunton last time and looks to have got in here lightly on handicap debut with the anticipation of more improvement to come.<\/p>\n

15.05 – MansionBet Hurdle McHurdleface Mares’ Handicap Hurdle – 2m<\/strong><\/p>\n

This looks a good race and for that matter, the David Pipe-trained PANIC ATTACK is fancied to find the necessary improvement to go in again.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s significant to note that stable rider Tom Scudamore has opted to come here and ride the promising mare rather than go to Chepstow, where he\u2019d have had the chance of bagging a few winners. Needless to say, this five-year-old mare created an excellent impression over C&D last month, suggesting that she is well up to being competitive in this higher grade.<\/p>\n

15.35 – MansionBet’s Best Odds Guaranteed Handicap Chase – 2m7f<\/strong><\/p>\n

FAGAN has steadily improved for his current yard and ran his best race for them last time out when keeping on well to finish third of nine at Ludlow from his current mark, faring best of those held-up. By good fortune, his mark remains lenient on historical form, given the fact that he had been competing to a very high standard when trained by Gordon Elliott. With a strong pace guaranteed, everything looks to aligned perfectly for him.<\/p>\n

VALADOM regained the winning thread in a veterans’ handicap chase at Newcastle in November with an exhibition round of jumping and was far from disgraced back over hurdles next time. He has some decent form to his name at this track and, providing the ground doesn\u2019t get too taxing, he\u2019ll take some catching.<\/p>\n
