12.05 – Unibet Extra Place Races Every Day Juvenile Hurdle – 1m7f<\/strong><\/p>\n

It could be quite an informative afternoon for trainer Gary Moore, who has an excellent chance here with HUDSON DE GRUGY. He made a promising start to his career when only finding one too good over course-and-distance last month on similar ground and, with further improvement on the cards, he\u2019s taken to go one better.<\/p>\n

Of the rest, HYSTERY BERE won\u2019t be inconvenienced by conditions and looks the chief danger to the warm favourite on stable debut for connections, who have made a bright start to the campaign and is included in our Sandown tips.<\/p>\n

12.40 – Unibet ‘You’re On’ Mares’ Hurdle – 2m3f<\/strong><\/p>\n

A competitive small-field affair with the vote in favour of STORMY ISLAND, who might have been well beaten in the Unibet International Hurdle at Cheltenham but looks the class-act for Paul Nicholls and Harry Cobden.<\/p>\n

This six-year-old mare was high-class when trained by Willie Mullins and if able to reproduce the sort of form that saw her beat subsequent Grade-One winner, Franco De Port this time last year, she would certainly be a tough nut to crack.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m surprised to see DESARAY GIRL available at such a big price. Micky Hammond\u2019s five-year-old has failed to fire on both starts this term but she\u2019s established herself to be effective on taxing ground and has winning form at this level on her CV.<\/p>\n

13.15 – Read Nicky Henderson’s Unibet Blog Handicap Chase – 2m4f<\/strong><\/p>\n

EVANDER was useful over hurdles and has looked even better over fences, producing an exhibition round of jumping to score by 14-lengths at Doncaster last month. This sharp track should be right up his street and he should take plenty of catching if able to set his own fractions up front.<\/p>\n

DESTINEE ROYALE bolted up on chase debut back in February and although it was a weak-enough event, she couldn\u2019t have been more impressive and has leading claims if ready to roll after an absence.<\/p>\n

SPEREDEK hasn\u2019t won for nearly two years, but shaped encouragingly when fourth back over hurdles 34 days ago. He seemed to benefit from a positive ride that day and given the fact that he\u2019s won twice at this track previously, he has to be respected with conditions to suit.<\/p>\n

13.50 – Unibet 3 Uniboosts A Day Handicap Chase – 1m7f<\/strong><\/p>\n

The best bet on the card, from my point of view, looks to be IBLEO, who will take some stopping in this race. He duly obliged in a couple of races over fences at the beginning of last year and lost little caste in defeat when second to the improving Canelo over the extended two-miles, three-furlongs at Huntingdon March last year. He was giving the winner 5Ib that day and he essentially advertised the strength of the form by claiming the Rowland Meyrick Handicap Chase from a mark of 142.<\/p>\n

Venetia Williams improving handicapper was just touched off by a short head at Ascot in a listed event and then filled the same position when second to the well-handicapped Sky Pirate at Cheltenham. The winner had previously run well in the Paddy Power Gold Cup so the form looks comparatively strong and, on the basis of those three performances, he has an excellent chance of going one better here.<\/p>\n

14.25 – Unibet Tolworth Novices’ Hurdle – 1m7f<\/strong><\/p>\n

METIER will undoubtedly take plenty of beating being the clear top-rated at 142 and looked a potentially top-class hurdler when winning impressively at Ascot 43 days ago. With this step up in trip sure to suit, Harry Fry\u2019s five-year-old ought to take plenty of stopping.<\/p>\n

GRANDEUR D\u2019AME had done really well in a couple of strong bumpers, particularly when narrowly beaten at Cheltenham last time out. It\u2019s very interesting to see connections pitch him into Grade-One company at the first time of asking over hurdles. This won\u2019t be easy, though, he\u2019s proven on heavy ground and looks the best alternative of the bigger-priced runners.<\/p>\n

15.00 – Unibet Veterans’ Handicap Chase – 3m<\/strong><\/p>\n

SIR IVAN isn\u2019t the most reliable of individuals, but he\u2019s been in good form this season having finished third at Aintree on his reappearance before narrowly being denied at Leicester back in November. He\u2019s well-handicapped based on past exploits and has an each-way chance.<\/p>\n

MINELLACELEBRATION resumed winning ways in Summer Cup at Uttoxeter in July and improved again when readily following up at Aintree three months later. He was going well when unseating his rider in the Becher at Aintree and with a clear round, this 150-rated chaser should make a bold bid.<\/p>\n

Whilst THEATRE GUIDE and SAMETEGAL have shown they still retain plenty of enthusiasm for the game despite their advancing years and both have the back-class to get involved having ran well at this track on numerous occasions in the past.<\/p>\n
