Following his sponsorship<\/a> of the Kent Silver Salver, one of the most prestigious races in UK greyhound racing, Colossus CEO Bernard Marantelli had offered a \u00a310,000 bonus to the eventual champion, on top of the \u00a33,000 first prize, if they could remain unbeaten throughout the event.<\/p>\n As final night approached, three dogs were unbeaten and in with a chance of landing the \u00a310k bonus, Shrewd Call, King Drake and Ballynabee Lucky. However, there was to be a twist in the tale as Marantelli offered each owner the opportunity to fully or partially Cash Out in the days leading up to the race.<\/p>\n King Drake was offered \u00a31,800, Ballynabee Lucky received a \u00a31,500 offer and Shrewd Call, the 7\/4 favourite, was presented with a very tempting \u00a33,750.
