As a football campaign dawns on us it’s time for our 2020\/21 season predictions. We’ve asked four of our top Captains to give their verdict on the season ahead. Joining us this year is The Gambling Panel (@gamblingpanel<\/a>), Overs Specialist (@OversSpecialist<\/a>), Gary Docherty (@garydoc777<\/a>) and G.O.A.T. Gambling Tipster (@GOAT_TIPS<\/a>). Who will the big winners and losers be? Which signings will prove to be shrewd and who will be a gigantic waste of money? Which of our Captains will prove themself a font of footballing knowledge and who will hang their head in shame? Read on for our 2020\/21 season predictions.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Ask the Captains: 2020\/21 season predictions<\/h2>\n

 <\/p>\n

Who will win the 2020\/21 Premier League?<\/strong><\/p>\n

GP: It has to be Man City<\/strong> who have strengthened their squad while Liverpool have stood still.<\/p>\n

OS: Manchester City<\/strong>. I’m expecting Pep to address City’s lack of comeback ability when going behind, that’s the<\/span> only thing they lack against Liverpool.<\/p>\n

GD: I believe Liverpool<\/strong> will<\/span> win the<\/span> EPL again this year, despite Manchester City being favourites.<\/p>\n

GT: I expect Man City<\/strong> to win the<\/span> league as they were far from their best last time and<\/span> definitely have something to prove this year.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Who will make up the rest of the top four?<\/strong><\/p>\n

GP: Liverpool<\/strong> will come second, Chelsea<\/strong> third and United<\/strong> fourth. Chelsea and<\/span> United have made good signings but<\/span> won’t have enough experience to finish above Liverpool.<\/p>\n

OS: Liverpool<\/strong> second, Chelsea<\/strong> third and United<\/strong> fourth. It’s still a two horse race. Expect Chelsea to be clear of the<\/span> pack in third with<\/span> United edged into fourth. The battle for fourth could be close though.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

GD: I believe the<\/span> 2nd, 3rd and<\/span> 4th places will<\/span> go to Manchester City, Manchester United<\/strong> and<\/span> Chelsea<\/strong> in that order.<\/p>\n

GT: Liverpool<\/strong>, then Chelsea<\/strong>, then Man United<\/strong>. I expect these three sides to cruise into the<\/span> remaining places to qualify for the<\/span> Champions League due to good recruitment.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Which three will lose the Premier League relegation battle?<\/strong><\/p>\n

GP: Fulham, Aston Villa <\/strong>and Crystal Palace<\/strong>. All are shaky at the<\/span> back and<\/span> won\u2019t score enough goals to keep them up.<\/p>\n

OS: West brom, Fulham <\/strong>and<\/span> Newcastle<\/strong>. I don’t believe West Brom have enough goals in them this year. Fulham have never been able to defend in the<\/span> Premier League. I like Newcastle, I love their real fans but<\/span> I fear they’re in trouble this year.<\/p>\n

GD: I think we<\/span> will<\/span> lose Burnley<\/strong> this time with question marks over Sean Dyche’s future. West Brom<\/strong> and<\/span> Fulham<\/strong> will head straight back down.<\/p>\n

GT: This is a tough one to call as so many teams have the<\/span> potential to go down but I’ll go for Fulham<\/strong>, Brighton<\/strong> and West Brom<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Name the Golden Boot winner<\/strong>
\nGP: Timo Werner<\/strong> is a natural goalscorer and should<\/span> have enough creativity behind him to provide him with the<\/span> chances.<\/p>\n

OS: The Golden Boot winner usually plays for a side who finish in the top four. United lack an out-and-out striker, City have Aguero<\/a> but he’s injury prone and gets replaced a lot by Jesus these days. Liverpool have a front three who seem to share goals so I think the<\/span> value lies in Timo Werner<\/strong> in an attacking chelsea side.<\/p>\n

GD: Chelsea new boy Timo Werner<\/strong> for the<\/span> golden boot this season.<\/p>\n

GT: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang<\/strong> has proven year after year what a top striker he is. I think Arsenal will<\/span> have a much improved campaign this time, with Aubameyang being the<\/span> main man.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Best signing of the<\/span> season<\/strong>
\nGP: As I’ve named him the Golden Boot winner it’s got to be Werner<\/strong> again.<\/p>\n

OS: Kai Havertz<\/strong>, without a doubt. One of Europe’s best young players, so versatile can play anywhere in midfield and<\/span> attack,\u00a0 deceptively fast and<\/span> a very intelligent footballer.<\/p>\n

GD: It’s got to be Timo Werner<\/strong> again if he’s winning the Golden Boot as well.<\/p>\n

GT: Timo Werner<\/strong> is fantastic signing for Chelsea and I’m looking forward to seeing him in the<\/span> Premier League. I think he will<\/span> be a huge asset to Chelsea next season.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Worst signing of the season<\/strong>
\nGP: I’m going for Rodrigo<\/strong>. He’s already flopped once in the<\/span> Premier League with Bolton so I’m expecting the<\/span> same again.<\/p>\n

OS: Nathan Ake<\/strong> at 40 million to Manchester City. Lots disagree with my opinion on Ake but<\/span> I don’t believe he is of the<\/span> quality required to play for such a big team.<\/p>\n

GD: I can’t see the<\/span> benefits of Donny Van De Beek<\/strong> for Manchester United.<\/p>\n

GT: He’s been a great player for PSG over the<\/span> last few years but I think Thiago Silva<\/strong> may struggle to adapt to Premier League football.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Which manager will lose the sack race?<\/strong>
\nGP: It’s got to be David Moyes<\/strong>. West Ham have a trigger-happy board and there are<\/span> already murmurs of discontent.<\/p>\n

OS: I think David Moyes<\/strong> at West Ham at big odds is a good shout.<\/p>\n

GD: Sean Dyche<\/strong> might struggle to remain in charge and<\/span> could be the<\/span> first manager to go.<\/p>\n

GT: Slaven Bilic has done a fantastic job getting WBA back up. I think it may be a difficult start to the<\/span> season though and,<\/span> if WBA are in a bad position come November, I think he may be the<\/span> first manager out.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Who will win the 2020\/21 FA Cup?<\/strong>
\nGP: Mourinho will<\/span> target the<\/span> cup competitions this year and I can see him delivering Spurs<\/strong> the FA Cup or the<\/span> League Cup.<\/p>\n

OS: Either Man City<\/strong> or Chelsea<\/strong>. Chelsea always go for the<\/span> FA cup and<\/span> any silverware for Frank is a must this season. City will<\/span> strongly challenge for this too as Pep needs a return for the<\/span> board.<\/p>\n

GD: I would plump for Arsenal<\/strong> to win the<\/span> FA Cup again, they love this competition.<\/p>\n

GT: Chelsea<\/strong> have had a fantastic transfer window, which was badly needed. I really expect them to push for the<\/span> title and they could land the FA Cup as well.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Who will win the 2020\/21 Champions League?<\/strong>
\nGP: I can see Bayern Munich<\/strong> retaining the<\/span> title again this season. They are a country mile ahead of everyone else at the<\/span> moment.<\/p>\n

OS: It’s hard to oppose Bayern but<\/span> I will<\/span> go with Real Madrid<\/strong>. The transfer market is open another month and they could be busy. Right now nobody is considering them. Let’s see how this ages.<\/p>\n

GD: I can’t see past Bayern Munich<\/strong> again for the<\/span> Champions League as they are strengthening an already formidable squad<\/p>\n

GT: Bayern Munich<\/strong> won it last year with what seemed incredible ease. With the<\/span> addition of Leroy Sane I think their team is too strong not to win it again.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

And finally, who will be the Euro 2020 champions?<\/strong><\/p>\n

GP: I think France<\/strong>. A great, young squad with the<\/span> experience of already winning a major competition.<\/p>\n

OS: No way should<\/span> England be favourites, Italy<\/strong> offer a good value bet at great odds and<\/span> should<\/span> be shorter in my opinion, Spain<\/strong> could challenge too.<\/p>\n

GD: France<\/strong> to win Euro 2020<\/a> after landing the World Cup in 2018.<\/p>\n

GT: As much as I\u2019d like to say England, I think France<\/strong>\u2019s quality and<\/span> depth could be too much for any other European side.<\/p>\n
