It’s not just Premier League players who earn a fortune from their jobs. Managers at Premier League clubs are also richly rewarded and, in some cases, they are paid even more than the players who line up for them on the pitch.<\/p>\n

Clubs rarely give details about the salaries of any of their employees but reports have highlighted the vast amounts of money made by some of the top Premier League bosses. So what are Premier League managers paid and who are the biggest earners? Let’s take a look!<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

6th: Ole Gunnar Solskjaer – Manchester United (\u00a37.5 million a year)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sixth in our list of the highest paid Premier League managers<\/a> is Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who earns a reported \u00a37.5 million a year.<\/p>\n

Former Red Devils striker Solskjaer won the chance to take charge at Old Trafford<\/a> on a permanent basis after impressing in a caretaker role following the sacking of\u00a0 Jose Mourinho.<\/p>\n

The ex-Cardiff City and Molde manager has United in contention for Champions League qualification and is building an impressive squad after the capture of Bruno Fernandes.<\/p>\n

5th: Brendan Rodgers – Leicester City (\u00a310 million a year)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Within a year of being appointed as Leicester City’s head coach, Brendan Rodgers had been given a new contract running to 2025 with a massive pay rise included in the deal.<\/p>\n

Rodgers was said to earn \u00a35 million when he first left Celtic for Leicester but his salary reportedly doubled when he committed to an extension amid links to Arsenal.<\/p>\n

With Leicester on track to qualify for the Champions League under the leadership of the Northern Irishman, Foxes fans will be hoping he stays at the club for a long time.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

4th: Carlo Ancelotti – Everton (\u00a311.5 million a year)<\/strong><\/p>\n

It was widely regarded as something of a coup when Everton persuaded three-time Champions League winner Carlo Ancelotti to take over at Goodison Park in 2019.<\/p>\n

But the Everton board had to open their wallets in order to tempt the Italian, who is reported to earn a whopping \u00a311.5 million a year on his long-term deal.<\/p>\n

Former AC Milan, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus and Real Madrid boss Ancelotti will be charged with leading Everton into their new stadium at Bramley Moore Docks as one of the highest-paid Premier League managers.<\/p>\n

3rd: Jurgen Klopp – Liverpool (\u00a315 million a year)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Liverpool might have obliterated the competition in the Premier League during the 2019-20 season, but manager Jurgen Klopp earns significantly less than his main rival Guardiola.<\/p>\n

The German made a reported \u00a37.5 million a year before doubling his annual pay on the long-term contract extension<\/a> he agreed with the Anfield club towards the end of 2019.<\/p>\n

2nd: Jose Mourinho – Tottenham (\u00a315 million a year)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Guardiola’s old rival, Jose Mourinho, became the second highest paid manager in the Premier League when he joined Tottenham<\/a> as Mauricio Pochettino’s successor in 2019.<\/p>\n

Mourinho, who led Chelsea to Premier League glory in both of his Stamford Bridge spells, is said to earn \u00a315 million a year on a contract that runs until the end of the 2022-23 season.<\/p>\n

Reports claim Mourinho is paid around twice as much as Pochettino received, even though the Argentine led Spurs to the Champions League final for the first time in the club’s history.<\/p>\n

1st: Pep Guardiola – Manchester City (\u00a320 million a year)<\/strong><\/p>\n

It is hard to argue against Pep Guardiola being the best paid manager in the Premier League. His reported \u00a320 million annual salary<\/a> works out at around the \u00a3385,000 a week mark – a remarkable sum of money that is in line with the biggest salaries in world football.<\/p>\n

Guardiola led Manchester City to a clean sweep of domestic trophies in the 2018-19 season but European success has continued to elude the Catalan since he moved to the Etihad Stadium. The 49-year-old’s contract is set to expire in 2021 but he has said he is “open” about renewing.<\/p>\n
