Alex Sandro (Juventus)<\/h3>\n

Sandro began his career with Atletico Paranaense in his native Brazil in 2008, arriving in Europe in 2011 after he was acquired by FC Porto. After four successful years in Portugal, he made the move to Juventus, with the Italians paying \u00a323m for his services. With Matthijs de Ligt, Giorgio Chiellini and Leonardo Bonucci as well, Juve have an amazing backline. On the left side, Alex Sandro is a key element when The Old Lady transition between defence and attack.<\/p>\n

David Alaba (Bayern Munich)<\/h3>\n

Alaba began in Bayern’s youth system, playing for the under 17 and 19 teams before being promoted to the main squad. The Austria international made his debut for Bayern’s first team in 2010 and has been a mainstay for Die Rekordmeister ever since. If you ask any Bayern Munich fan, they will say that David Alaba is one of the best left backs in the world, if not the best in the world, and they wouldn’t trade him for another left back.<\/p>\n

Alphonso Davies (Bayern Munich)<\/h3>\n

Although David Alaba is only 27-years-old and has plenty of years ahead at Bayern, the German champions already have his replacement ready in Alphonso Davies. The Canada international was acquired by Bayern in 2019 after two seasons with the Vancouver Whitecaps in the North American MLS. Though Davies is only 19 years old, the Canadian talent is already considered to be one of the best left backs in the world and possesses blistering speed.<\/p>\n

Andrew Robertson (Liverpool)<\/h3>\n

Liverpool signed Robertson from Hull City in 2017 for a reported fee of \u00a38m and the Scotland international has since become one of the key players in J\u00fcrgen Klopp’s squad. Since he arrived at Anfield, the 26-year old has made over 86 appearances and scored three goals for the Reds in addition to 25 assists. Due to his pace, energy and crossing ability, the Scotland international is now widely considered to be the best left back in the world. With a \u00a357.6m valuation, Robertson is the most valuable left back according to Transfermarkt.<\/p>\n

Ferland Mendy (Real Madrid)<\/h3>\n

In 2019, Ferland Mendy made the move from Lyon to Real Madrid. For years, Los Blancos have relied upon Marcelo in the position, regarded as the best attacking left back for a long time, but the Brazil international isn\u2019t getting any younger. At a young age, Mendy spent time in Paris Saint-Germain\u2019s youth ranks but was released due after a rare form of arthritis was discovered in his hip<\/a> when he was 15 years old, a decision that they might now be regretting.<\/p>\n

Ben Chilwell (Leicester City)<\/h3>\n

Christian Fuchs, Ben Chilwell’s Leicester team-mate, went on record to say<\/a> that Chilwell will become one of England’s best best left backs in the future. He is a product of the Leicester City academy and won their Academy Player of the Year award at the end of the 2014\u201315 season. Chelsea, Man City and Manchester United are all interested in signing him this summer but Leicester are reported to want a fee of around \u00a380million for the full back who has already made 11 appearances for the English national team.<\/p>\n

Jordi Alba (Barcelona)<\/h3>\n

Though many analysts will tell you that Andrew Robertson is the best left back in the world, it is not a notion that the Scot agrees with himself. The Scot recently said that he believes Barcelona’s Jordi Alba<\/a> to be the best left back in the world. Having been converted from a left-sided midfielder by Unai Emery at former club Valencia, the 31-year old has the perfect blend of attacking verve and defensive resolution for the Catalonian giants and Spain.<\/p>\n
