5. Team Liquid \u2013 CS:GO<\/h3>\n

This multi-regional professional eSports organization<\/a> are based in the Netherlands and were founded in 2000. They are currently ranked as the second best team in Counter-Strike and Global Offensive.<\/p>\n

2019<\/a> was a year of ups and down for Liquid. They disappointed at the StarLadder Berlin Major but put in a succession of world-class Counter-Strike performances, winning five tournaments in a row.<\/p>\n

The Chinese eSports team, owned by video game developer FunPlus, won the 2019 League of Legends World Championship<\/a> after defeating G2 Esports in the grand finals.<\/p>\n

FPX also have eSport teams competing in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Fortnite Battle Royale, and PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds.<\/p>\n

Their victory in The International<\/a> in August 2019 makes them the only team to win this prestigious and extremely lucrative Dota 2 tournament two years in a row. Their 3-1 win over Team Liquid in the final awarded OG $15.6 million out of the $34 million prize pool<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In addition to Dota 2, the European<\/a> side also have eSports teams in other games, such as Super Smash Bros. and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.<\/p>\n

Arguably the best European League<\/a> team of all time, G2 dominated the competition in 2019. Their only tournament loss was their 3-0 defeat by FPX in the Worlds 2019 finals in November.<\/p>\n
