Gerwyn Price admits it will be the first time he\u2019s not BOOED by fans on his PDC Home Tour debut.<\/p>\n
The two-time major winner makes his debut for the live streaming PDC Home Tour tonight on the PDCTV website. But Price, 35, is confident of being a big success because he reckons he would have been the World Champion five times over in his kitchen.<\/p>\n
He said: \u201cI\u2019m ready for darts again to be honest. I\u2019ve done all the jobs around the house that needed doing. I\u2019ve even built a fish pond in the garden.”<\/p>\n
\u201cSo this will be good to play darts competitively again. It\u2019s probably the only time that I\u2019m not going to be booed when I play live in front of fans! Hopefully I don\u2019t even drop a leg.”<\/p>\n
\u201cThe wife and kids aren\u2019t even allowed in the room and not to use much of the internet. It\u2019s just going to be in my kitchen and the dartboard.”<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s going to be tough but as long as the internet coverage is good and good cameras and phones, whichever way they are doing it. It\u2019s good to be doing something competitive. It\u2019s not big prize money, ranked or anything but it\u2019s good fun and good for the fans.”<\/p>\n
\u201cIt will also be great for me and other professionals to get in some practice against each other. It\u2019s good for the situation we are in and we\u2019ll do the best we can. I used to go live on Instagram to practice against fans and that was good for me.”<\/p>\n
\u201cTo be doing it against the other professional players it will be tough in my own kitchen, that\u2019s a lot different.”<\/p>\n
\u201cAnything is possible, I think it will be hard for everyone. I always play my best stuff in my kitchen when I\u2019m on my own, that\u2019s not playing against another player or live stream.”<\/p>\n
\u201cIf I could play the World Championship in my kitchen, I think I would have won it five years on the bounce!”<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m sure everyone else is great wherever they practice. It\u2019s just hard to get it onto the match board and TV. That\u2019s where the top eight or 16 do it better than others I think.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Iceman, who has won the last two Grand Slam titles, has a bigger concern that he will upset his young daughters who aren\u2019t allowed to use their phones when he is playing in the PDC Home Tour.<\/p>\n
He added: \u201cIt\u2019s just best of nine, 15 or 20 minutes per match. I\u2019m basically only going to be playing an hour.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m going to be unpopular. I spoke to my youngest daughter yesterday and told her she can\u2019t go on YouTube for three hours. She wasn\u2019t happy I can tell you.<\/p>\n
