Glen Durrant admits that he fears he could be shot down by Fallon Sherrock’s arrows in Nottingham. The three-times BDO World Champion faces the new oche queen in the Premier League at the Motorpoint Arena tomorrow on Thursday night.<\/p>\n

She has been dubbed the Sherrock of Nottingham and Durrant is worried she will be \u201criding through the Glen\u201d in their much-hyped clash.<\/p>\n

Speaking exclusively to Phil Lanning, on behalf of Colossus, Glen Durrant said: \u201cIt\u2019s the toughest game, the game I didn\u2019t want. I was desperate to play Chris Dobey in Newcastle, it would have been unbelievable for our area. So it was a bit of a shock to get Fallon and it will be the hardest game in my Premier League.”<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve spoken to Chris. He dealt with it tremendously at the World Championships<\/a>. He is different than me. I\u2019ll never be a poker player, I can\u2019t hide my emotions. It\u2019s going to be a test of my mental strength. That\u2019s something I do need to improve on. I need to get off to a quick start.”<\/p>\n

\u201cBut it is the game that people are asking me most about. I\u2019ve got to win it. I do fear relegation in the Premier League, definitely. I\u2019ve always been a winner but there\u2019s got to be a time when things will dip.”<\/p>\n

\u201cLast year was incredible, can I do that again in 2020? I believe I\u2019ve still got a major title in\u00a0me. If I can just get a little bit fitter, stronger. I\u2019m a lot wiser now. I know how tough the travelling is going to be.”<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Premier League is scary. I don\u2019t want to be just an also-ran and finish on zero points. I want to be up there and challenging. I want my legacy to be that I beat Michael van Gerwen in Rotterdam or that I was up against Fallon and struggling and she was riding through the Glen yet I go on to win the match.”<\/p>\n

\u201cBut I still think there\u2019s time for me to do something special in the PDC. I was the big cheese in the BDO, I could have done anything I wanted to. Now I\u2019m a nobody.”<\/p>\n

\u201cVery strict rules, very professional at the PDC but you are playing for 16 million quid this year. So for me I\u2019ve gone from being an amateur to a professional. In a football analogy I\u2019ve gone from Championship to Premier League.\u201d<\/p>\n

Glen Durrant also admits he was starstruck taking on the players at his beloved Boro at the Riverside stadium recently – and that boss Jonathan Woodgate is decent with the arrows.<\/p>\n

He added: \u201cIt was amazing playing darts at Middlesbrough. The players were coming to me asking me for photos and I was the one starstruck in there!<\/p>\n

\u201cJonathan Woodgate is a very good darts player. Four of the guys did a nine-dart challenge. Britt Assombalonga and Adam Clayton won it. I played him in a game. Target gave all the players a set of darts so that went down a treat.”<\/p>\n

\u201cThey are just young lads doing very normal things, playing darts and there\u2019s a pool table and table tennis table in their recreation room in between training. That room is just for them, Woodgate is not allowed in there, so it\u2019s a real honour for someone new to go in there and that was me.”<\/p>\n

\u201cI think a few of them are coming to watch me at the Premier League in Newcastle which should be great. I didn\u2019t get beaten by any of them. I played against George Saville, I totally changed his throw and he appreciated that. We had a 501 against 301 game. I tried to let him win but I still won it.\u201d<\/p>\n
