1\/ Virgil Van Dijk<\/b><\/a><\/h3>\n

Colossal. Immense. And another man-of-the-match display in the 1-0 win v Brighton. Even with a makeshift central defensive partner in Fabinho, the giant Dutchman talked his back-line through the game and the Reds allowed the Seagulls just seven touches in the Liverpool box. In Van Dijk\u2019s 37 Premier League games for the Reds, they\u2019ve kept 21 clean sheets. They top the table by four points. He is the main reason.<\/p>\n

2\/ Mo Salah<\/b><\/a><\/h3>\n

While Van Dijk and co delivered another shutout at Brighton, it was Salah who yet again turned one point into three. This one he made on his own, jinking in the box to draw a foul and then slamming\u00a0home the penalty. He\u2019s scored the winner in a 1-0 victory four times now and is the Premier League\u2019s joint-top scorer with 14. Don\u2019t forget his seven assists either.<\/p>\n

3\/ Eden Hazard<\/b><\/a><\/h3>\n

(Last week: 3)<\/em><\/p>\n

The first player to reach double digits for Premier League assists after laying on another in the 2-1 win over Newcastle. Having also found the net 10 times, Hazard has had a hand in exactly 50% of Chelsea\u2019s Premier League goals this season. Not happy at having to play a false nine but his numbers are outstanding.<\/p>\n

4\/ Raheem Sterling<\/b><\/a><\/h3>\n

(Last week: 4)<\/em><\/p>\n

The most consistent presence in City\u2019s fearsome attack this season and has been directly involved in 16 Premier League goals, wheeling away in celebration nine times and assisting seven others. Adds vibrant spark to City\u2019s lethal attack which has netted nine more goals than anyone else in the PL.<\/p>\n

5\/ Harry Kane<\/b><\/a><\/h3>\n

(Last week: 5)<\/em><\/p>\n

One of three alongside Salah and Aubameyang at the top of Premier League scoring charts on 14 goals and has seven in his last seven in all comps and 20 overall. Tottenham fans will be keeping everything crossed that his ankle injury in the 1-0 defeat to Man Utd isn\u2019t as serious as it looked at first.<\/p>\n

6\/ Leroy Sane<\/b><\/a><\/h3>\n

(Last week: N\/A)<\/em><\/p>\n

Brilliant burst and cross to set up City\u2019s opener against Wolves, his eighth assist of the Premier League season (only two players have more). Sane has fired home seven goals too, including the winner against Liverpool which came after the last edition of this column was published. Back he comes into the top 10 at No.6.<\/p>\n

7\/ David Silva<\/b><\/a><\/h3>\n

(Last week: 6)<\/em><\/p>\n

Conducted the orchestra brilliantly in the early part of the season but hasn\u2019t quite had the same huge impact in recent games following an injury. Still, there isn\u2019t a player in the league who threads it all together as well as Silva.<\/p>\n

8\/ Fernandinho<\/b><\/a><\/h3>\n

(Last week: N\/A)<\/em><\/p>\n

An absolute key part of the Man City jigsaw and, if proof were needed, his absence coincided with City\u2019s shock losses to Crystal Palace and Leicester. Seems to get better with age and clearly the best holding midfielder in the top-flight. Worth his weight in gold more than ever and time to get him into the top 10.<\/p>\n

9\/ Paul Pogba<\/b><\/a><\/h3>\n

(Last week: N\/A)<\/em><\/p>\n

Probably wasn\u2019t in the top 100 until recently but now look at him go. In 14 Premier League games under Jose Mourinho he managed three goals and three assists. In five under Ole Gunnar Solksjaer? Four goals and four assists, the latest that sumptuous through-ball to help Man Utd to a 1-0 over Spurs at Wembley. Absolutely transformed and United are flying as a result.<\/p>\n

10\/ Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang<\/b><\/a><\/h3>\n

(Last week: 7)<\/em><\/p>\n

Just like Harry Kane, he\u2019s fired home 30% of his team\u2019s Premier League goals this season and is joint-top scorer with 14. Not as influential when not scoring however but still keeps his place in the top 10.<\/p>\n
