Karanka\u2019s attack could be bolstered by returns for Stuani and <\/span>Ramirez.<\/b> Both teams will be wanting to win such a crucial game. This will be a tight game but I\u2019m backing Burnley to just edge it.<\/span><\/p>\n

Leicester vs Everton- Mon, Dec 26 15:00<\/b><\/h2>\n

Following their <\/span>disciplinary nightmare<\/b> against Stoke, Leicester will be without Huth, Vardy and Fuchs. Fortunately, the match is at the King Power, where they’ve lost only one game this season. Moreover, the Toffees have won only two on the road so don’t travel well. Everton will be hopeful <\/span>Steklenburg <\/b>and McCarthy shake off knocks from the Merseyside Derby. Everton haven\u2019t won in their last six visits to Leicester and I can see Leicester just edging this one again.<\/span><\/p>\n

Newcastle vs Sheffield Wednesday- Mon, Dec 26 19:45<\/b><\/h2>\n

Boxing day<\/a> evening sees Championship leaders Newcastle United host 6th place Sheffield Wednesday. Newcastle have won <\/span>11 of their last 13<\/b> matches and scored at least two in nine of their last eleven. The Magpies have adjusted to life in the Championship well and look well poised to go straight back up. Although Wednesday are also in fine form, with only one defeat in their last six and<\/span> clean sheets<\/b> in their last two. Despite this form, I can\u2019t look past Newcastle\u2019s dominance and predict a heavy home win.<\/span><\/p>\n

Brighton vs QPR- Tue, Dec 27 12:30<\/b><\/h2>\n

With eight wins in their last ten games, Brighton are keeping the pressure on Newcastle. They have the <\/span>meanest defence<\/b> in the league, conceding only 14 goals all season. Combine this with QPR not scoring in their last three games and it looks ominous for the Hoops. Since Ian Holloway took over, QPR have won one game and scored only three goals. I\u2019m going with form and backing a 2-0 Brighton win.<\/span><\/p>\n

Derby vs Birmingham- Tue, Dec 27 15:00<\/b><\/h2>\n

7th plays 8th in this <\/span>Midlands derby<\/b> between two play off hopefuls. Derby have picked up 26 points and lost only one game following Steve McClaren\u2019s return. This run has Derby now involved in a wide open playoff race. This is built around not conceding in their last six matches at Pride Park Stadium.<\/span><\/p>\n

Whereas, Birmingham shocked English football with their recent sacking of <\/span>Gary Rowett. <\/b>Rowett turned around fortunes and guided the side to a 10th place finish last season. Birmingham have seen more than two goals in their last five games, but have only managed to win two of these. Derby look too strong at home for this Birmingham team.<\/span><\/p>\n

Southampton vs Tottenham- Wed, Dec 28 19:45<\/b><\/h2>\n

Mauricio Pochettino returns to St Mary\u2019s to take on Southampton. Southampton have lost one at home this season and conceded only five goals in the process. As a result of this defensive solidity, transfer rumours around their centre back pairing of <\/span>van Dijk<\/b> and Fonte are circulating.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tottenham head into the game with relatively poor <\/span>away form<\/b>, having won only two on the road all season. But, since the return of Kane, Spurs have looked a much improved and are averaging over two goals a game since. This is a game where either team could sneak a win, but I\u2019m going to back the draw.<\/span><\/p>\n
