We\u2019re almost halfway through the regular season and the fight for the playoff spots is\u00a0beginning to heat up. Once again, I\u2019m here to try and secure the \u00a3200,000 Pick 7 jackpot\u00a0\u2013 take a look at my thoughts on this week\u2019s Colossus Bets Pool below…<\/p>\n

Indianapolis Colts @ TENNESSEE TITANS<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Colts may have the talented Andrew Luck at quarterback but their defence is rivalling\u00a0the New Orleans Saints as the worst in the NFL<\/a>. Simply put, you won\u2019t win many games if\u00a0you cannot stop the opposition \u2013 even with a quarterback like Luck in charge of the\u00a0offensive unit<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Tennessee\u2019s offensive play-makers are beginning to come good and Marcus Mariota\u00a0could lead the Titans to a third straight win on Sunday. DeMarco Murray is regarded as\u00a0one of the best running backs in the AFC and he could run riot<\/a> against Indy\u2019s weak rush\u00a0defence; back the Titans to get the job done on home soil…<\/p>\n

Selection:<\/strong> Titans by 7-12 points<\/a><\/p>\n

OAKLAND RAIDERS @ Jacksonville Jaguars<\/strong><\/p>\n

Oakland have defied the odds to win four of their opening six games this season but Jack\u00a0del Rio\u2019s men fell short against Kansas City<\/a> last weekend. However, Raiders quarterback\u00a0Derek Carr has started to find top receiver Amari Cooper on a regular basis \u2013 and that\u00a0bodes well<\/a> for Oakland fans.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the Jaguars managed to pick up their second victory<\/a> of the year last weekend\u00a0against Baltimore and Jacksonville\u2019s defence is beginning to make plays. Whilst it could\u00a0be a tight-knit affair, I can see Oakland doing just about enough to notch another win \u2013 it\u00a0might even come down to a Sebastian Janikowski field goal<\/a> attempt…<\/p>\n

Selection:<\/strong> Raiders by 1-6 points<\/p>\n

WASHINGTON REDSKINS @ Detroit Lions<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Redskins defence showed up in a big way when beating Philadelphia in Week<\/a> 6 and\u00a0Jay Gruden will be expecting another solid performance at Ford Field. For now, DeSean\u00a0Jackson\u2019s status is up in the air and Washington fans will hope<\/a> that the veteran wideout is\u00a0good to go on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Matthew Stafford has been fantastic so far this season and former Cincinnati Bengals\u00a0receiver Marvin Jones<\/a> has stepped up after Calvin Johnson announced his retirement at\u00a0the end of last year. If the Lions bring their A-Game, they could come out on top in this\u00a0one…<\/p>\n

Selection:<\/strong> Lions by 7-12 points<\/p>\n

San Diego Chargers @ ATLANTA FALCONS<\/strong><\/p>\n

Philip Rivers<\/a> has done brilliant things with this banged-up San Diego offense but they\u00a0could come unstuck against Atlanta\u2019s fiery defence. Rookie tight-end Hunter Henry has\u00a0been a revelation so far this season and both he and running back Melvin Gordon will\u00a0need to be at their best to give the Chargers a chance in this clash.<\/p>\n

Simply put, the Falcons have been outstanding so far this year. Matt Ryan is looking like\u00a0an elite quarterback and the backfield duo of Tevin Coleman and Devonta Freeman is\u00a0wreaking havoc. Defensively, they\u2019re solid too. Atlanta have already beaten the Denver\u00a0Broncos and Carolina Panthers; and I fancy Dan Quinn\u2019s men to pick<\/a> up another win\u00a0here…<\/p>\n

Selection:<\/strong> Falcons by 13-18 points<\/p>\n

\"NFL<\/a><\/p>\n

TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS @ SAN FRANCISCO<\/a> 49ERS<\/strong><\/p>\n

Tampa Bay will be without Doug Martin once again but Jacquizz Rodgers could feast on\u00a0San Francisco\u2019s suspect defensive unit<\/a>. With Vincent Jackson also set to miss out,\u00a0Buccaneers number one wide receiver Mike Evans could be expected to carry the offense\u00a0\u2013 he is Jameis Winston\u2019s favourite target by a long way.<\/p>\n

The 49ers have injury issues of their own; with Carlos Hyde doubtful ahead of what could\u00a0be described as a must-win game for Chip Kelly\u2019s men. For the second week in a row,\u00a0Colin Kaepernick is set to start at quarterback \u2013 although that is not necessarily a good\u00a0thing for the 49ers. I fancy the Bucs to edge this one…<\/p>\n

Selection:<\/strong> Buccaneers by 1-6 points<\/p>\n

NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS @ Pittsburgh Steelers<\/strong><\/p>\n

Since Tom Brady\u2019s return from suspension, the Patriots have been on another level and\u00a0they look primed to go all the way to Super Bowl<\/a> 51 at NRG Stadium in February. Rob\u00a0Gronkowski and Martellus Bennett are dominant figures on offense and both tight-ends\u00a0will be incredibly effective; especially if Ryan Shazier is ruled out.<\/p>\n

Had Ben Roethlisberger been fit, the Steelers might\u2019ve got the better of Belichick\u2019s men\u00a0but it is hard to imagine Pittsburgh coming up trumps against the Patriots with Landry\u00a0Jones under center. Le\u2019Veon Bell and Antonio Brown will keep Pittsburgh in the contest\u00a0but I just can\u2019t see the Steelers stopping New England from scoring…<\/p>\n

SEATTLE SEAHAWKS<\/a> @ Arizona Cardinals<\/strong><\/p>\n

Seattle aren\u2019t the dominant force that they were three years ago but they still boast one of\u00a0the strongest defensive units in the National Football League<\/a>. With that in mind, and\u00a0Russell Wilson\u2019s unique ability to make a play out of nothing, the Seahawks are always in\u00a0with an outside chance of snatching victory \u2013 even in the desert against their NFC West\u00a0rivals.<\/p>\n

Arizona haven\u2019t been at their best in recent times but running back David Johnson could\u00a0be the difference-maker once again as the Cardinals look to close the gap at the top of\u00a0the division. On paper, Bruce<\/a> Arians\u2019 men are stronger but that will mean very little when\u00a0the two teams take to the field in the early hours of Monday morning. I\u2019m backing the\u00a0Seahawks to continue their fine run of form..<\/a>.<\/p>\n
