The National Football League season is beginning to take shape and there are still plenty of teams in contention for their respective divisional titles. For the second week in a row, I’m\u00a0here to try and correctly predict this seven-match pool for \u00a3200,000!<\/p>\n

PHILADELPHIA EAGLES @ Detroit Lions<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Eagles are coming off their Week 4 bye as one of the NFL\u2019s three unbeaten sides. Rookie quarterback Carson Wentz has took Philly to the next level; and his reliability on offense is a key reason for their solid run of form. Furthermore, Philadelphia have really stepped up on defence, conceding just nine points per game \u2013 a league-leading statistic.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Detroit struggled to inspire confidence against the Chicago Bears last weekend and the Lions will be up against it again in this clash. Matthew Stafford has performed well since Jim Bob Cooter became Detroit\u2019s offensive co-ordinator midway through last season but injuries have hurt the Lions this year. Look no further than Philadelphia in this one…<\/p>\n

Chicago Bears @ INDIANAPOLIS COLTS<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Bears picked up their first victory of the season last weekend but they might find it very difficult indeed against Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts. With Jay Cutler and Jeremy Langford out of action, rookie Jordan Howard will be crucial to their chances. If he can shred the Colts defence on the ground, Chicago could nick a positive result.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, they may be forced to throw \u2013 especially if the Colts take an early lead. While Indianapolis have struggled so far this year, Luck is still an elite talent and he is capable of firing Indy to victory in this one. Lucas Oil Stadium isn\u2019t a fortress but the Colts should have enough to beat the sorry Bears on Sunday…<\/p>\n

Tennessee Titans @ MIAMI DOLPHINS<\/strong><\/h2>\n

It\u2019s been an up and down start to the new season for Tennessee and their aspirations will rely heavily on DeMarco Murray\u2019s form. If the former Dallas Cowboys running back can continue to contribute in both the running and the passing game, the Titans may surprise a few this season. They aren\u2019t going to win the Super Bowl but it would be foolish to write them off in the AFC South.<\/p>\n

By the same token, Miami have also struggled for form so far but the Ryan Tannehill-Jarvis Landry combination could give Adam Gase\u2019s side the edge here. With Arian Foster still out and Miami adopting a running back-by-committee approach, it could be a tight-knit affair but I\u2019m backing the home side to edge it by a field goal or two…<\/p>\n

CINCINNATI BENGALS @ Dallas Cowboys<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Cincinnati got back to winning ways with a solid performance against Miami on Thursday night and the extra three days of preparation could be the deciding factor in this contest. If truth be told, it is difficult to split these two teams on offense but the Bengals\u2019 fierce defensive unit are looking mean and the Cowboys could be in for a rough ride.<\/p>\n

Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott have been simply sublime so far this season and Dallas fans will be hoping that they can maintain their current form throughout the remainder of the campaign. The two rookies have carried the Cowboys to a 3-1 record but they will slip up eventually \u2013 and this could be Prescott\u2019s time to implode…<\/p>\n

Buffalo Bills @ LA RAMS<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Bills defied the odds to hand New England a first ever shutout defeat in front of their home fans at Gillette Stadium last weekend but Rex Ryan\u2019s men may struggle to follow up with another impressive success. If LeSean McCoy fails to get the run game going, Buffalo will find it difficult against Los Angeles\u2019 aggressive front seven.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, the Rams are beginning to put a run of form together despite their woes on offense. Todd Gurley is averaging less than three yards per carry but Case Keenum has been able to take advantage of some slack coverage in the secondary in recent weeks. If the Bills stack the box, LA could find themselves in field goal range on a regular basis. This will be a close one…<\/p>\n

Selection: Los Angeles by 1-6 points<\/strong><\/p>\n

San Diego Chargers @ OAKLAND RAIDERS<\/strong><\/h2>\n

With Philip Rivers at quarterback, anything is possible for the San Diego Chargers \u2013 except perhaps a run to the Super Bowl. Melvin Gordon has stepped up to the plate and whilst they are still suspect defensively, their second-string offense is performing well. If they get things going, they could be a real threat; both on the ground and through the air.<\/p>\n

Oakland have been a revelation this year and the Raiders could be set to challenge for the AFC West title if Derek Carr carries on in this vein. Whilst Oakland are conceding points left, right and centre, the Raiders have the second best offense in the NFL and I\u2019m expecting Jack del Rio\u2019s men to tear the Chargers apart in this divisional battle…<\/p>\n

Selection: Oakland by 13-18 points<\/strong><\/p>\n

New York Giants @ GREEN BAY PACKERS<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Giants were put in their place by Minnesota in their most recent encounter and I\u2019m fully expecting another NFC North franchise to beat Ben McAdoo\u2019s men for the second week in a row. New York have been much improved this season but defensive injuries and an Odell Beckham Jr hissy-fit could wreak havoc with their preparation for a trip to Lambeau Field.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Aaron Rodgers is almost back to his best and that bodes well for Green Bay fans. The Packers quarterback is widely regarded as one of the top signal callers in the NFL and he could have plenty of success against a secondary that has been solid for the most part of the season. However, Rodgers and co could run riot if Mike McCarthy keeps his first string offense on the field…<\/p>\n
