The UEFA Nations League provided a refreshingly entertaining offering during the weekend’s international break, with twists and turns aplenty for those of you hunting down a Big Jackpot, we even saw one punter go all the way in our Asian Handicap Pick 20.
Check out the winners of the week in our latest weekly review.
Where better to start this week then some one line wonder action in our Asian Handicap Pick 20. It’s been a little while since we saw someone score a full house in the big one and this was not your run of the mill full house either!
Having come through Saturday completely unscathed, on Sunday morning our £0.50p punter had taken the time to ponder over a rather attractive Cash Out offer that had been sitting with them through the night. £13,179 was on the table for 100% of the ticket and it proved too good to refuse, as our player cashed in full pre leg 18.
An amazing return from a £0.50p stake, however, there is the age old theory (dating back roughly 6 years when we launched Partial Cash Out!) that when it comes to Cash Out, you should retain a portion of your ticket, just in case it went all the way. We think you probably know what is coming…
We’re not going to dwell on this too much, but following the Cash Out, the ticket continued to hit correct predictions, right the way to the last leg. It looked as if the selection of Switzerland -0.5 would eventually kill the ticket, but no. Trailing by 2 goals to nil, the Swiss flicked the switch and banged 5 goals in without reply to seal a perfect 20/20.
With 100% of our punter’s ticket already Cashed Out, this of course meant there would be no further winnings to add to the £13K already banked and we’ll have a part rollover going in to the next pool kicking off this Friday!
Moving on to the racing and Monday afternoons meeting from Thurles, we focus on a £12 ticket taking on the Win 6 pool. The opening three legs saw all the favourites roll in – music to the ears of this punter as they’d selected the favourite in each of the opening three races.
To 14:30 and the 4th leg, our punter had plumped for 8/1 shot Jimmy Rabbitte in a field containing a couple of short priced contenders (Leave Your Mark and Western Honour). It turned out to be a great call as leg 4 soon turned green for our punter too and in turn decreased those still live for the win prize in the pool quite considerably. Leg 5, another favourite (Fintown Boy EVS) was ridden home, setting things up for a perfect 6/6 if Rain In Spain could do the business.
Could yet another favourite ride home for a full house? You bet! Rain In Spain secured the full house for our punter and they walked away with a majestic £5,974. Well played 🙂
What were we saying earlier on about retaining a portion of your ticket when you Cash Out? Here is a nice example of banking some profit and leaving yourself in with a chance of a little bit more if your remaining selection comes up trumps!
This Correct Score Pick 3 rollover punter played this pretty smooth from start to finish, 2/2 after nailing Croatia 3-2 Spain & England 3-0 USA (Rooney’s last England game you may have heard). Then, ahead of the third and final leg and with a Cash Out offer of £914, our player decided to touch hands and sell 50% of their ticket for £457.
Still owning 50% of the ticket – would they still be in for a bumper pay day? In a surprise result, Netherlands turned France over 2-0 and secured a winning dividend of £3,851 to add to the Cash Out. We make that a total pay day of £4,308!
