Every week I will be previewing the weekend Pick 15.

The associated syndicate reference is: 669CFWZZ

We will always be going for the Jackpot of £800,000 with a maximum of 64 lines (£128 stake).

We will not Cash Out – we will not fold to pressure – we will win this thing!

Last week at halftime in the 15:00 matches we were winning in every game… If only the whistle had gone! In the end it wasn’t dire (we finished with 9/15 – 2 away from the consolation prizes all of which were high as only 10 made the 11/15). We were utterly robbed though. Everton were 2-0 up and we had the draw covered, but lost to Newcastle 3-2. Spurs blew the lead to Southampton. One of my bankers Reims really should have won, as Dijon were down to 10 men inside of 3 minutes and then Reims were 1-0 up inside of 10 minutes. But a silly penalty and some poor misses meant it wasn’t to be. Monaco also gave away a penalty to lose. The luck really hammered into us. But them’s the breaks I guess.

Each week I will be highlighting some fixtures as bankers – games that I have maximum faith in, but you should remain cautious as they don’t always come in.

Last week’s bankers were: Atalanta, Reims and Monaco – only my fave Italian side obliged.

Bankers so far:  29 out of 60 (back in the red)

This week’s bankers:  Dortmund, Man Utd, Atletico Madrid and Hull

Anyway, onto the fixtures…

Bournemouth vs Newcastle

I reckon Bournemouth all day for this, but someone lit a fire under Newcastle’s bum against Everton, so I’m covering away in case that happens again.

Selection: Home / Away

Burnley vs Leicester

Burnley could beat Leicester. In their dreams.

Selection: Away

Sheffield Wednesday vs Blackburn

Wednesday have hit a purple patch and Blackburn will be no match for their renewed form, especially at Hillsborough.

Selection: Home

Hull vs QPR

QPR just don’t seem to want it anymore and Hull are fighting for everything. The midweek defeat against Norwich was expected (which they only just lost) and this is the fixture to get them back to winning ways.

Selection: Home

Brentford vs West Brom

Brentford have remembered who they are again, even if they did forget how to score against Sheff Utd who only had 10 men for most of the match. I fancy them to take this. West Brom aren’t in the top four for no reason though so I’m going to back away too.

Selection: Home / Away

Ipswich vs Nottingham Forest

Ipswich? Who are they?

Selection: Away

Preston vs Birmingham

I fancied Preston for this before they beat Middlesbrough in the week, and now I fancy them even more, especially as a drab Birmingham side couldn’t even net one against Millwall.

Selection: Home

Athletic Bilbao vs Atletico Madrid

Bilbao beat Madrid? What kind of world are we living in? For some reason though the bookies reckon a draw is a good shout so I’m covering it too. Perhaps they know the B Team is coming out.

Selection: Draw / Away

Hertha Berlin vs Dortmund

Dortmund may have lost the top spot on goal difference, but they are having one of their best seasons so I’d be a fool to bet against them.

Selection: Away

Wolves vs Man Utd

Wolves? Knock Man Utd out of the FA Cup? Is this the Mourinho era? I don’t think so mate.

Selection: Away

Millwall vs Brighton

Brighton really should dispatch with Millwall fairly easily but as it’s an FA Cup game I’m covering the draw too for luck.

Selection: Draw / Away

Reims vs Nantes

I’m going with Reims again despite me falling out with them last week. They’d better work harder to get back into my good books or I’m catching a plane to France to have a word.

Selection: Home

Bordeaux vs Rennes

Bordeaux Rennes is a draw all day long. But we are fortunate enough to have a pick spare at this late stage and it’s tough to decide where the edge lies. In those instances it makes sense to favour a home win.

Selection: Home / Draw

Lokeren vs Cercle Brugge

I know the Belgian league like the back of your hand. In that I’ve never seen it. The bookies favourite is Lokeren who are worryingly at the bottom of the table. For that reason, it feels right to cover away too.

Selection: Home / Away

AC Milan vs Inter Milan

It’s always extremely close between these two and a draw is clearly very likely indeed. AC Milan have a one point advantage in the league though and are at home so I guess they edge it for me.
