Every week I will be reviewing the weekend Pick 15.

The associated syndicate reference is: 237DANDT

Wewill always be going for the Jackpot of £800,000 with a maximum of 64 lines (£128.00 stake).

We will not Cash Out – we will not fold to pressure – we will win this thing!

What an absolute joy last week was… all I can say is at least we got the North London Derby right. Outside of that, it was pretty dire.

Each week I will be highlighting some fixtures as bankers – games which carry my maximum confidence – and will be tallying up my success rate on these.

Last week there was a record 4 bankers and also a record 4 losses: Stoke took the lead and lost it again in the dying seconds, Nice only managed 1 shot on target and it didn’t go in, E Frankfurt (still only 1 point behind Bayern Munich) couldn’t find a win at home and Newcastle ended their run of wins against West Ham. Brilliant!

Bankers so far:  15 out of 35 (I’m going to press on regardless)

Bankers this week: Derby, Spurs and Atalanta

Anyway, onto this week…

West Ham vs Crystal Palace

West Ham have just had some convincing victories against Newcastle and Cardiff, so they should have enough to beat “1 man team” Palace at home.

Selection: Home

Burnley vs Brighton

Burnley of last season have long since been forgotten. Brighton will be missing Shane Duffy through suspension, but it’s hard to say they’ll miss him as they beat Crystal Palace quite easily without him on the pitch.

Selection: Away

Cardiff vs Southampton

Ralph Hasenhuttl has taken over at Southampton and a new manager boost is certainly a possibility, especially against Cardiff who are not that strong. Hasenhuttl was manager at RB Leipzig when they finished 2nd in the Bundesliga, so he’s decent. If Hughes was still there then I’d back a home win alone, but just in case he makes the difference then I’m backing away too.

Selection: Home / Away

Birmingham vs Bristol City

I have every confidence in a Birmingham side who are charging at the moment with strong victories over Millwall and Preston. Bristol will be tougher but they should edge it.

Selection: Home

Wigan vs Derby

Derby are winning this with Harry Wilson scoring a hat trick.

Selection: Away

Nottingham Forest vs Preston

Forest are doing disappointingly well in the Championship. It’s been nice keeping a division between Leicester City and Forest, but something tells me they might be the ones to come up through the playoffs. I see no reason why they shouldn’t win this game at home but I have a gut feeling Preston could get a draw (something Forest like to do more than any other team in the Championship).

Selection: Home / Draw

Chelsea vs Man City

I always like these big games for a draw, like Man United vs Arsenal on Wednesday. Obviously I’ll be backing City to win as I’d be mad not to, but even record breaking Man City of last season drew 4 times and if any team can do it then Chelsea at home is a likely candidate.

Selection: Draw / Away

Reading vs Sheffield Utd

Reading took away a banker from me last week by snatching a last minute goal against Stoke, so I hate them. I hope Sheff Utd absolutely stuff them like they deserve.

Selection: Away

Hertha Berlin vs E Frankfurt

I have to be careful with overconfidence in E Frankfurt as they didn’t get the win at home last week (another banker down the drain). On past form these two are very closely matched and head to head Hertha Berlin come out comfortably on top. I’m going to back the home win for stats and the away win on recent form.

Selection: Home / Away

Leicester vs Tottenham

Leicester are my team and it makes my heart sink to bet against them, but they are not going to get a result against Spurs this season.

Selection: Away

Sassuolo vs Fiorentina

This is the hardest fixture in the list. I have absolutely no idea which way it’s going to go. Fiorentina are perhaps marginally better on paper, but Sassuolo are at home. Any result seems feasible so for the first time ever I’m going to cover all results.

Selection: Home / Draw / Away

Udinese vs Atalanta

Atalanta are my pet Italian side and they were only just edged out by the mighty Napoli last time out. At Udinese they are going to walk away with it.

Selection: Away

Empoli vs Bologna

Both of these teams have drawn more times than they’ve won, which leads me to believe a draw is the most likely result.

Selection: Draw

Newcastle vs Wolves

Can I really back Newcastle again when they let me down so badly last week? Also, Wolves will be absolutely bursting with confidence after seeing off Chelsea on Wednesday. I’m not feeling great about this game because another draw seems likely. Newcastle bounced back to draw against Everton and Wolves had a dire run before this last game against Chelsea. If it weren’t for Wednesday’s game then I’d definitely back Newcastle here, so I’m going to do just that.

Selection: Home

St Etienne vs Marseille

Luckily those that are in the know have inside information on this game – it’s going to be a draw. That’s because all French games are draws and also because they’re very closely matched. They currently sit in 5th and 6th place in the league and 6th placed St Etienne have home advantage.

Selection: Draw
