    Huntingdon Place 6 preview | 12th January

13.20 – Weatherbys Scientific Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle R S AMBUSH has finished second in two of his last three starts and should again be in the mix with more to come. I will also include BITSNBUCKLES, who should be suited to the step-up in distance and can make her presence felt.

  • Racing

    Doncaster Place 6 preview | 10th January

12.20 – Sky Sports Racing HD Virgin 519 ‘Hands And Heels’ Handicap Hurdle It’s a wide-open race to start proceedings, but I do like the chances of RICKETY GATE. Twice a winner in 2022, he strung together a sequence of placed efforts in the second half of last year and would have gone close in his only previous visit here without mishap.

  • Racing

    Taunton Place 6 preview | 8th January

12.55 – Farmers Friend Novices’ Hurdle The opener should go the way of INSURRECTION, who was last seen finishing a creditable second in a Grade 2 race. This is a significant drop in grade, and his form looks superior to what Lucky Place has achieved, so he should be a nice winner for the team of Paul Nicholls and Harry Cobden.

  • Racing

    Plumpton Place 6 preview | 7th January

12.45 – BetGoodwin Tom Cannon Juvenile Hurdle THROUGH THE AGES improved significantly from his hurdle debut third to emphatically open his account at Newbury when winning by 15 lengths from the front and is the viable favourite.

  • Racing

    Ayr Place 6 preview | 2nd January

12.45 – Happy New Year From Ayr Racecourse Maiden Hurdle ESPRIT DU POTIER won twice here in bumpers and has shaped well in both hurdle starts to take second. His record here reads 2112, and, with this longer trip sure to suit, he should be hard to beat and can get favourite backers off to a flyer.

  • Racing

    Cheltenham Place 6 preview | 1st January

12.20 – Favourite From The Sun Now Daily Maiden Hurdle INNATENDUE went close here in November, only a neck behind Cannock Park, who subsequently made the frame in a Grade 1 race on his next start, and could go one better.

  • Racing

    Newbury Place 6 preview | 30th December

12.05 – Play Coral ‘Racing-Super-Series’ For Free Mares’ Handicap Hurdle GREYVAL won twice last season, including a listed event, and shaped nicely on her handicap debut at Ascot when last spotted.

  • Racing

    Ludlow Place 6 preview | 20th December

12.05 – Alpha Aggregates Handicap Hurdle (Female Amateur Jockeys) – 2m5f WHATSUPWITHYOU ran a decent race when he finished midfield in a much stronger race than this at Cheltenham last time out and is 2Ib below his last winning mark.

  • Racing

    Wincanton Place 6 preview | 19th December

12.20 – TrustATrader Approved And Reviewed Trades People Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Chase – 3m1f SANDY BROOK looked badly in need of his return/chase debut when down the field last month, but he should be sharper and should play a leading role.

  • Racing

    Plumpton Place 6 preview | 18th December

12.40 – Revived Inn Novices’ Hurdle – 1m7f Gary Moore’s JUNKANOO displayed good form on the flat and only found one too good when second on his hurdles debut at Ascot. The winner has gone close since, so with improvement on the cards, he is fancied to go one better.

  • Racing

    Exeter Place 6 preview | 13th December

12.20 – Kenn Novices’ Hurdle – 2m5f TOSS OF A COIN cost an expensive sum at the sales, and this stiff test of stamina should suit this hurdle debutant. He could be hard to beat for the champion trainer, Paul Nicholls.
